I'm No WWD, BUT here's My Review of Gucci's s/s '12 collection!

As you know Gucci debuted its spring/summer 2012 collection on Wednesday & IDEAL streamed the entire show LIVE! Frida & her talented team put together a presentation that was simply beautiful. The models walked the runway with slicked back hair & a heavy smokey eye wearing pieces consisting of emerald greens, metallics, and a splash of print. Although I love the boy on girl look that is still trending, I felt as though Frida brought us back to a woman that is strong & confident, yet enjoys the femininity of being a woman. Therefore, she wears clothes that projects that feeling which was most apparent in the balance created between the structured, tailoring of the suits and the more flowy printed dresses & blouses.


 I also loved the detailing from the drop waist dresses with the slit open back to the gorgeous clutches & handbags with python print & tassels. I can't wait to see who'll wear these looks on the red carpet because I know they'll be a HIT! In my humble opinion I envision the Gossip Gals rocking it first & probably the best.

All in all, if I could sum up this show in three words they would be: Sophisticated, Strong, & Sexy! What did you guys think?
